Four-time Tony Award–winning actor and playwright and gay rights activist Harvey Fierestein was in need of a digital marketing strategy for his very candid and moving memoir I Was Better Last Night. The book reveals never-before-told stories of his personal struggles and conflict, sex and romance, and of his fabled career. Implementing an aesthetic intentionally cohesive with the look and feel of the book jacket design, the campaign’s goal was to reflect his astonishingly colorful and meaningful life while not ignoring the duality of struggle and vulnerability. Designing this campaign was almost as fun as Harvey himself!
